Inside the Role
This position resides within the Dealer support team within the Sales/Service/ Marketing Dept. at Thomas Built Buses. The Dealer Support Team is responsible for selling & supporting approximately 80% of our total vehicle sales at TBB. A Regional Sales Manager works closely with the Factory and our Dealers to achieve success for both entities. This position is the Company’s primary face-face representation for our dealers and for end-user customers.

Position offers a starting salary range of $98,500 - $126,000
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What you Drive at DTNA
  • Medium to long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients.
  • Develops medium to long-range sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of existing customers.
  • Identifies and manages interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities.
  • Resolves problems and ensuring customers receive high quality customer service.
  • Develops client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts.
  • Reviews and reports on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends.
  • Incumbents in this specialization may be selling directly to the ultimate purchaser or indirectly through channel partners.
  • Acts as an advisor to management and key external stakeholders on job field related projects.
  • Acts as a resource and guide for colleagues with less experience.
  • Uses experience to contribute to standards in which others will operate.
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with 5-7 related automotive or industry experience required OR 3+ years of direct sales and/or service experience OR an Associate's degree with 7-9 years related experience OR 5+ years direct sales and/or service experience
  • A degree focus in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering OR within a technical discipline
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in job field and working knowledge of related disciplines
  • Ability to use analytical thought to independently solve complex problems with minimal guidance and identify solutions
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel and Power Point), management, and organizational skills are required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
  • Experience in a mechanical or technically oriented role is required
  • Proficient in English required
  • At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required
